Girl group AESPA finally officially released their first full-length album titled Armageddon on Monday (5/27) at 18:00 KST or 16:0 WIB on all music platforms. At the same time, the music video of Armageddon has also come out through SMTOWN YouTube.
Armageddon's music video shows a stunning performance with a unique classic concept combined with a futuristic feel. In the 3.32-minute music video, Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning again present stunning vocals in the hip-hop genre song with a strong bass sound. The song also has a retro touch but still sounds trendy.
Quoted from Korea JoongAng Daily, Monday (5/27), Winter and Giselle explained that Armageddon is a suitable blend of AESPA's unique vocals and music like the hard-hitting sound in 'Savage'. The combination is very good, resulting in an iron-flavored taste that shows the characteristics of AESPA's music.
"I think the iron-flavored nature of AESPA's music comes from the vocals that we have, the blazing vocals that almost 'feel' like metal, that's what it's called," Winter said.
"Our vocals added to the music - like the hard-hitting sound in 'Savage' - all add to our distinct 'iron flavor'," said Giselle as reported by Korea JoongAng Daily, Monday (5/27).
The Armageddon album is AESPA's comeback after releasing the mini album Drama in November 2023. The album contains 10 songs including Supernova and Armageddon. In addition to the two title tracks, the Armageddon album also features Live My Live, Mine, Set the Tone, Licorice, Bahama, Melody, Prologue, and Long Chat.
AESPA's first full album has attracted a lot of attention from fans. Since the release of the song Supernova on May 13, fans have shown their enthusiasm for AESPA's debut full album. This can be seen from the fact that Supernova cleared the national and global charts. In addition, the Armageddon album itself has reached 1.02 million pre-orders which again makes AESPA a million seller after the Girls, MY WORLD, and Drama albums.
